Culture permeates through the gritty streets of New York; etched into its cast-iron skin, graffittied on its greystone walls and smelt as it blows through the melting pot of the Five Boroughs; Staten Island, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and The Bronx. It's this sentiment of subversive culture, expressed through street art and music, that is about to rock Melbourne’s underbelly with the arrival of an off-the-hook music and arts event known as The Boroughs.
Sheltered in an abandoned city warehouse, The Boroughs is an event which celebrates creative movement, forging Australia's most urgent bands and dj’s with visual artists, bootlegger bars, skaters and thrift stores.
Featuring live performances by NY inspired acts;
Bertie Blackman
Miami Horror
Yves Klein Blue
Hot Little Hands
Bachelor of Arts
The Frowning Clouds
Wilfred Jackal and
The Hello Morning
The Boroughs is poised to rupture the yoke of social boundaries, heralding the start of your self-expressive summer.
